WE CAN HELP YOUR DRIVERS TO LEAD HEALTHIER and SAFER LIVES
By using The Bus Athlete System (BAS), bus drivers/operators have the opportunity to become involved in improving their own health and safety. They are "bus athletes." Their playing field is the road; they are the quarterback of their bus, and each work day is a new game with a new opportunity to achieve their goals.
The BAS is easy to use. Every workday, for one year, bus operators receive a lifestyle and safety factor along with short goals to accomplish. Each factor is also accompanied by a "motor"-vator (catch phrase) to increase their interest in these topics. These daily tips and "motor"-vators are concise, easy to understand, and entertaining to read – day by day, step by step, and goal by goal. As the operators score their daily game day goals, they become winners in the Game of Life. The Bus Athlete System enables bus operators to exercise better control over their physical and mental well-being (lifestyle factors). And, at the same time, they will gain greater safety awareness and know-how (safety factors).
The Bus Athlete System covers 12 Lifestyle Factors: Nutrition, Physical Exercise, Mental Fitness, Stress Reduction, Attitude and Happiness, Sleep, Substance Abuse, Time Management, Motivation, Disease Prevention, Weight/Obesity, and Relaxation and Safety Factors that include: Weather Conditions, Driving Regulations, Passenger Safety, Compliance, Pre- & Post-Trip Inspections, Injury Prevention, and Employee – Employer Relations.
