Everest, President and CEO of Occupational Athletics, Inc. and author of The Gameplan For Aging, Your Four Quarters of Life, has had nearly 25 years of experience in the development and implementation of strategic corporate and industrial sports medicine programs, wellness initiatives, and injury and illness prevention plans. These implementations have produced measurable results in return on investment for hundreds of corporations throughout the country. He has also trained amateur and professional athletes and teams and was the owner and operator of several Pennsylvania fitness centers. The purpose of the Occupational Athletic™ System (OAS) is to enhance the existing health and safety practices of your company. The OAS is designed to train and treat employees as if they were professional athletes and is extremely proactive in preventing workplace injuries, accidents and illnesses.

Utilizing the concept of aging and athletics from the popular Gameplan For Aging, Your Four Quarters of Life, Occupational Athletics’ behavior – based systems and products have the capability to touch every employee (unlike traditional wellness programs that often influence a few), creating a true morale-boosting athletic atmosphere in your business where the employees (your players) want to improve their health and well-being.

System I
Train the Trainer Systems

The Train the Trainer Systems allow supervisors, management and volunteers to disseminate information to each and every employee. All systems are designed to be integrated into your company’s existing health and safety practice and may be offered to multiple companies to consolidate businesses in a geographic region or provided directly onsite at the company’s location.

System II
Implementation of Occupational Athletics Pre-shift Stretch System

An Occupational Athletics’ specialist will implement the Pre-shift Stretch System onsite at your company’s location. Implementation requires 2 – 4 days onsite based upon the number of employees and shift schedules.

The Implementation includes:

  • Supervisor and Management Train-the-Trainer Stretch Leader Certification
  • Roll-out of the Pre-shift Stretch System

System IV
Onsite Occupational Athletic Specialist
Human Maintenance System

This is the most comprehensive model. An Occupational Athletic Specialist is positioned onsite at your company location or may be shared between three to five locations – or – even shared among two to five different companies based upon the demands for service and demographics.

This System is the perfect fit for companies with:

  • 300 – 500 employees
  • High exposures to work related injuries
  • An aging workforce
  • Increasing costs associated with healthcare
  • Union environments

The Specialist provides all of Occupational Athletics’ injury and illness prevention through the Human Maintenance System (HMS) and our Healthy Lifestyle Promotion System (HLPS). These systems focus on your company’s greatest concerns, be it injury prevention, disease prevention, or healthy lifestyle promotion.

  • The HMS begins with a company profile to determine the appropriate level of service hours required to produce a ROI.
  • System II – Implementation of The Pre-shift Stretch will kick-off the program.
