Occupational Athletics provides a variety of Management and Employee Group Training Seminars. All Training Seminar Systems utilize The Gameplan for Aging philosophy and provide techniques to educate, motivate, and inspire employees to improve overall health and safety behaviors. Mark Everest and our other presenters are passionate about health & safety and gifted in capturing an audience’s attention and creating interest and awareness where it is needed.


The Gameplan for Aging; Your Four Quarters of Life

The Gameplan for Aging, Your Four Quarters of Life is an educational and motivational lifestyle-modification training seminar, which was developed to assist people in ALL walks of life. It has been coined as a meaningful reality check that provides participants with the knowledge and motivation to make a plan of action to benefit their personal well-being and safety.
60-90 minute presentation time.


Safety Coach “Train the Trainer”

The Safety Coach curriculum is a specialized training program, emphasizing the components of leadership development, health, and coaching in the area of safety. We are committed to educating all participants with the components necessary to operate at the highest level of safety leadership.
60-90 minute sessions.


Physical Readiness Coach “Train the Trainer”

Physical Readiness Coach “Train the Trainer” gives employee volunteers the opportunity to become leaders of the Physical Readiness System and direct the routine each day.

Physical Readiness Coaches will be equipped with the following

  • Biomechanics of physical preparation
  • Proper physical preparation technique
  • Overview of the anatomy and prevention of injuries
  • Group motivational skills and employee health promotion
  • How to address those with limitations
  • How to address reluctant participants

60-90 minute sessions.


Performance Nutrition - Eating for Energy to Age

Nutrition is one of the most overlooked employee training programs, yet it is such an important component. Poor nutrition is the basis for many preventable health problems and often creates accidents and injuries due to fatigue. Performance Nutrition will educate participants on how to redirect their personal behavior to eat for nutrition, not just for taste. It will make a dramatic impact on human performance and is great in preventing fatigue, illness, and injury.
60 minute training series, 2-4 training segments are recommended for the most comprehensive information required to change behaviors.


Conditioning Clinic

Wellness works for the well, and the fit get fitter. However, everyone needs to get in better condition as we age-or at the very least- maintain condition. The human machine is the most expensive machine to fix and the most difficult machine to diagnose. Conditioning Clinics are designed to address personal behavior and educate participants on how to get in better condition. It focuses on all aspects of conditioning from strength training to flexibility to cardiovascular endurance. Conditioning Clinics are a great proactive solution to reducing risk of employee healthcare complications.
60-90 minute sessions


Conditioning Back Training

The back is the number one injury seen in a workforce. The root cause is that the back is in poor condition due to inadequate body mechanics and lack of awareness. This training will focus on the realities of aging and the severity of back injuries while we age. The training provides proactive solutions to condition the back and demonstrates ways to prevent injuries.
60 minute sessions


Use Work to Get Fit, Not Hurt!

This training will teach employees how to get fit using their daily work routine as an exercise routine. This is an “out of the box” method to educate a workforce on how to apply the physical functions of work to become fit, thus preventing injury.
Recommended for safety training, new-hires, and Train the Trainer.


Stress Busters

Stress is one of the most common health risk factors and contributes to so many health-related problems. Stress Busters will educate employees on the physiology of stress and the reality of its consequences. This program will provide employees with a plan to combat stress on any encounter - physically, mentally, and emotionally every day.
60 minute sessions, 3 part training series available.


Body Mechanics Training

This program demonstrates the physiology and ergonomic components of ALL physical work. This makes an excellent Train the Trainer program to create a safer environment and to generate awareness on how everyday physical work affects the body on a daily basis and over time, so that your workers will be knowledgeable on how to maintain or improve their bodies.
60-90 minute sessions


Fatigue Management

Millions of Americans are sleep deprived. The demands we go through in a 24 hour period are higher than they’ve ever been. When we become sleep-deprived, we become fatigued. Being constantly fatigued leads to major health problems including a weakened immune system, increased stress, decreased productivity and efficiency, and is a major contributor to accident and injury. Fatigue Management is a critical training program; everybody needs to understand the importance of sleep and the detrimental long-term effects of not getting an adequate amount or quality sleep. This program will focus on the physiology of sleep and circadian rhythms that trigger fatigue and sleeping patterns. This program will also provide proactive remedies and solutions to manage fatigue in order to lead a healthier and more productive lifestyle.
60 minute sessions, 3 part training series available.


Lifestyle Factors Training

The health of a worker has a profound impact on the safety of that worker. This is a powerful reality check on what drives your life expectancy and how the lifestyle factors connect to your personal safety on and off the job. Participants will learn how to manage each of the six lifestyle factors to help them age better, live safer, and reduce the risks of illness, injury, and accidents. 60-90 minute presentation times.


Fit for Duty

In this seminar, participants will discover the true meaning of being fit for duty based upon the physical demands of their job whether it’s material handling, construction, driving vehicles, manufacturing, or office work. We all have a varied degree of physical demands placed upon us, but what kind of affect do those demands have on our lives outside of work? This seminar will educate, motivate, and inspire participants to recognize the importance of being fit for duty both at work and in their private lives, and the benefits that are associated with implementing a fit for duty program.
60 minute session


World Class Elite Athlete Preparation and Medical Care for the Workplace

At Occupational Athletics, we utilize sports medicine principles to train and treat employees as if they were professional athletes. This helps to create a workplace culture of enhanced safety and well-being. David M. Joyner, MD, the presenter for this seminar, explains how critical processes and medical care involved in preparing elite athletes can and should be transferred to industry to maximize employee performance, health, and safety.
